Revise and/or modify and/or expand their understanding of self.
"A Letter to Little You" invites participants to directly support their own wellness through a short film that demonstrates self-love. Participants will first identify and reflect on their feelings in the moment, then embrace self-compassion and self-care by speaking directly to their inner child. This class is designed primarily for individuals to explore their own personal wellness through Free Writing exercises but also includes brief discussion to support the learning objectives.
Notes:
- This class includes two Free Write opportunities in which participants will be exploring concepts independently. We do not recommend requiring these exercises to be shared with the instructor or other class members, as it can inhibit creativity and flow.
- Optional supplementary materials are provided for the Instructor to provide insight into how two different types of therapy: Internal Family Systems Therapy and Reparenting Therapy. These concepts are not explicitly incorporated into the class, but are implicit strategies that the main character in the film uses in her recovery.
