  • Describe the impact of breathing techniques and breath work on protagonists and on themselves

  • Practice breathing exercises and notice their feelings before and after

  • Set intentions to use breath to support wellness

"The Power of Our Breath" invites participants to explore how breath can support emotional well-being through two experimental short films. The first follows a young woman reflecting on her experiences with anxiety and agoraphobia, while the second depicts another young woman using breath to quiet intrusive, disruptive voices causing her distress. Through guided reflection, structured prompts, and informational handouts on breathing techniques, participants will gain practical experience with breath work and an understanding of the science behind its effectiveness in managing difficult emotions.

Note: This class includes supplementary materials that can be completed at the start of class or assigned as homework. If assigned as homework, the class duration may be approximately 10 minutes shorter.
